Long after the Ethiopian government downplayed the threat of CODIV-19 and continued sending Ethiopian Airlines to ground zero in China for months, now Addis Ababa has begun to take action.

However the SNNPR’s capital city has been ignored while all other major Ethiopian cities have received #Covid-19 testing kits from the Ministry of Health. The reason for this delay is unknown but it puts salt into the wound of local politicians, especially Sidama nationalists, who continue to feel disrespected by the administration of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
