(AwasaGuardian) Ethiopian Orthodox and other Christians celebrated Timket and related festivities in Hawassa city of southern Ethiopia. It is one of the most important holidays marking the baptism of Jesus. 

In Ethiopia, it is a three-day religious and cultural event, including Kana ZeGelila (See Images: Hawassa) 

The Ethiopian epiphany is celebrated nationwide. Over 90% of Hawassa city are Christians, with about 30% being a member of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (EOTC)
